Aiolos Cooper, based on Jaspira R&D(1997-2003)

Jaspira R&D was made by Shield Innovation

Aiolos Cooper

Aiolos Cooper Mobile lightweight collapsible wind turbine. It is portable and can be carried by one person. It may be set up when needed, for example during encampment. The patented design of Aiolos enables this collapsibility. The electricity produced by Aiolos Mobile is sufficient to power portable electronic devices such as communication equipment.

Possible users:
  • border guards
  • hunters
  • hikers
  • soldiers

The research and development group behind Aiolos Turbine technology was founded in 1997 in Finland. The key personnel of the team consist of seasoned executives in the field of electricity, energy, electronics, environment and telecommunications. The cutting edge business of Shield Innovations company is in renewable energies.

AIOLOS VERTICAL WIND TURBINE

Shield Innovations R&D group has developed an unique method for creating a vertical axis wind turbine from a planar sheet, thus eliminating the need for molding and allowing the use of a variety of raw materials (e.g. fibreglass, plastic, aluminium, steel, carbon fiber) that can be produced cost-efficiently. The AIOLOS turbine is complemented with uniquely developed generator and chopper electronics technology, which enable optimal adjustment for any given wind conditions. Today primary feature in our R&D is the electronics and optimizing software thus we can create various turbine formats/models which all work under the same basic innovative concept AIOLOS.

AIOLOS CONCEPT IS SUITABLE TO USE IN:

· urban conditions · desert conditions · military use · yachting use · border guard stations · lighthouses · lifeboats as a source of electricity · cellular phone base stations as backup power source · severe climate conditions · corrosive circumstances

AIOLOS KEY FEATURES ARE:

silence or noiseless operation à urban environment use slow speed of rotation à safety independence of wind direction independence of vertical current of air à mountain condition easy installation à easy to poll adaptability possibility to use different materials à aluminium, plastic, steel, fibreglass,… possibility to optimize turbine in wind tunnel tests ACAD-based R&D and production easy production of the turbine à profitability cutting edge generator technology à real time optimizing chopper technology à controlled power regulation chopper technology à possibility to connect to the mains/grid
